![]() ![]() But recently, I purchased an 80-200 and it makes all of my other lenses look soft (except maybe my 17-55 which is very close to it in sharpness). Many times, I've thought the slight softness I've seen was due to NR. Although my 18-200mm VR (recently serviced by Nikon), 60mm f/2.8 macro and 70-200mm f/2.8 VR were perfect at 0. I was kinda surprised how off a few of my lenses were. Sigma has enough cash to buy their own D300 for testing talk about cutting corners :) I would not send the camera to them either. I bet the number of shutter actuations will be a LOT higher when you get the camera back! Someone at Sigma wants the chance to play with the new D300 for a couple of weeks. I wouldn't send it to Sigma and why would they need the camera for? My question is would send both or just adjust in camera?ĭont let them do anything that would scrap your warranty!! My Nikkor 50mm 1.8 was +1, My Sigma 30mm 1.4 was +14! I contacted SIgma and they asked if I could send both my D300 and 30mm lens to correct. I guess new lens with new body works flawlessly. thanks for the link.Ģ4-70 f/2.8 is perfect.
